From December 27th to 30th, 2020, 13 members of Teckids e.V. took part in the virtual "Remote Chaos Experience" (rC3) as a replacement for the cancelled Chaos Communication Congress. Despite minor technical difficulties, it was seen as a sucessful and rewarding event by our participants.
From September 4th to 6th the second alternative offer for FrogLabs 2020 took place. The event, which should have taken place on August 31, was split into two dates due to the corona virus pandemic. During this time, the participants were able to build solar cars, create their own game or produce a radio play in three different workshops.
Our biggest event, the FrogLabs, has been and split into two this year. Our first alternative programme took place from the 22nd to the 24th of July. During this time, the participants were able to build solar cars, create their own game, produce a radio play or learn a lot about OpenStreetMap in four different workshops.
From the 19. to 21. June we held a workday on the youth tent pitch, making it the first workday since April that is not taking place online.
At this year's Thomas-Krenn-Award the Teckids e. V. took 2nd place, winning a hardware voucher of 2000€ as a prize.
The virtual Open Education (Half-)Day (OED) took place on April 25, 2020. At the OED, people interested in Free Software and Open Educational Resources can meet and exchange ideas.
During the schoolfree time, the game programming team offered an online workshop where the young people learned how to program their own game with Python with the help of our tutors.
At FOSDEM, on February 1st and 2nd, 2020, we presented ourselves and our projects at a stand. Our project "Schul-frei" was there with a community stand, a curated selection of Free Software products. Also, AlekSIS was presented to a broader audience for the first time.
Again the Chaos Communication Congresstook place this year between the 27th and 30th december 2019, for which we organized a trip. The 16 participants were able to explore the congress and learn something about its topics, but also were able to explore Leipzig.
On the weekend of December 14th and 15th the last workday for this year took place, this time followed by a Christmas party at tarent. As always, the workdays serve to prepare and plan future events that the club organizes or in which it participates.
