Our biggest event, the FrogLabs, has been and split into two this year. Our first alternative programme took place from the 22nd to the 24th of July. During this time, the participants were able to build solar cars, create their own game, produce a radio play or learn a lot about OpenStreetMap in four different workshops.
During the schoolfree time, the game programming team offered an online workshop where the young people learned how to program their own game with Python with the help of our tutors.
At FOSDEM, on February 1st and 2nd, 2020, we presented ourselves and our projects at a stand. Our project "Schul-frei" was there with a community stand, a curated selection of Free Software products. Also, AlekSIS was presented to a broader audience for the first time.
From the 8th to the 11th of August this year the FrogLabs took place in Sankt Augustin again. 90 children took part in the workshops: game development, electronics, robotics, plus one creative workshop which resulted in stop-motion videos and audio dramas.
